Yellow Series Collection Yellow Series: 1995 German CD-Singles Set Series of CD singles released by Warner Music Germany in 1995, known as Yellow CD Singles, contains 23 titles previously released as 7" or 12" singles between 1982 and 1990 in Germany and UK. All records were re-issued with original artworks. Every single contains characteristic yellow (more or less) CD. Songs weren't remastered and that's why some of them sound unclear and quality is not satisfying - probably one of the worst in Madonna discography. CDs were released as the final part of the contract between Sire Records andWarner Bros. which expired soon after that. All of these singles were re-released in the late 90's and 00's, but after 2005 when Warner Bros. re-issued 4 of these records with white CD (UK pressings for European market) all collection was finally deleted from the catalog. Yellow CD-singles series does not include: Crazy For You and Gambler (singles weren't released under Sire Records), Dear Jessie (originally released in Germany in 1989 as the first European 5" CD single from Madonna). Also, all of the non-German singles were missed: Over And Over (Italy, 1985), Love Don't Live Here Anymore (Japan, 1985), Spotlight (Japan, 1988)  Additional information: * 1st issue of "Like A Prayer" (yellow cover) was released also with additional yellow inner ring; * 2nd issue of "True Blue" was released also with additional yellow inner ring; * 2nd issue of "Cherish" was released also with additional silver ring close to CD-hole; * Exists miscoloured CD of "Like A Player" with blue CD (look on bellow); * Exists misprinted CD of "Material Girl" with no information on CD (look on bellow)  UK re-issues In 2005 Warner Music released for European market 4 of 23 CDs from yellow series. This time CDs were white but booklets and CD-layouts were completely unchanged. Catalog numbers were also the same. CDs were not pressed in Germany! All 4 were made in UK by Deluxe Media Services UK or EDC Blackburn. The white series includes: "Burning Up", "Borderline","Causing A Commotion" and "Vogue" Chilean re-issues In 2001 Warner Music Chile re-released exclusively only for Chilean market 2 of 23 CDs from yellow series. CDs were yellow, booklets unchanged but CD-layouts have some differences. Catalog numbers were also the same but both CDs this time were released in standard jewel cases (not as slim case as German or UK series). All 2 were made in Chile. The series includes: "Lucky Star" and "Like A Virgin" ------------ |
