The History of Arran Aromatics:
Arran Aromatics have been making specialist body care products on the Isle of Arran since 1988. Founded by Iain and Janet Russell, with their sons Andrew and Duncan, the derelict premises at The Home Farm were purchased in January 1989. The very first Arran Aromatics products were made on site a few months later and consisted of just one range of toiletries and associated products. Today Arran Aromatics produce some 250 items across 6 distinct ranges, including triple milled vegetable soaps, foam bath, bath grains, shower gel, body wash, bath oil, body lotion, hand cream and lip balm. The start of the 21st century saw the launch of Arran Candleworks, a range of 147 fantastically fragranced candles to match every mood, and the Arran Aromatics Web Shop came online in the summer of 2001. In an idyllic courtyard setting, the Arran Aromatics factory and shop sit alongside The Island Cheese Co. and the celebrated Creelers Seafood Restaurant and Smokehouse, making The Home Farm one of Arran's most popular visitor attractions.
