Into The Groove(y) track (16) contains Madonna vocals from the original Into The Groove song / Madonna's record label wanted to sue them but Madonna stopped it from happening and gave them full clearance with Ciccone Youth
In 1988, Sonic Youth participates in a project called Ciccone Youth (which features bassist Mike Watt, ex-Minutemen and Firehouse) and release the album "The Whitey Album", a kind of ironic-conceptual album about a whole musical culture, ranging from pop (covers of Madonna and Robert Plamer), to classical contemporary music (refer to the composition 4'33 "by John Cage, through the track Silence), passing through the experimental influences of Sonic Youth, which comes from German Krautrock (Neu Can)
